Mgr. Žofia Janík Szapuová, PhD.

She completed her master’s degree at the Comenius University in the field of psychology. She completed her doctoral studies at the Medical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava, where she worked under the guidance of prof. MUDr. Daniela Ostatníková PhD. The topic of her dissertation was “Adaptive behaviour of individuals with autism and the relationship to potential biomarkers”. She is part of the diagnostic team at the Academic Research Center for Autism of the Comenius University Medical Faculty. She is actively involved in scientific work within several research projects. In 2020, she completed a six-month internship in the USA, at the English Drexel Autism Institute, Philadelphia, under the supervision of renowned expert Giacomo Vivanti, PhD, focused on early intervention research. Currently, she is on maternity leave.
