ABSTRACT: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a<\/span> life-long neurodevelop<\/span>mental disorder that has a<\/span> serious impact on various aspects <\/span>of an individual\u2018s life. Deficits in social communication skills, <\/span>that are characteristic for this disorder, have significant im<\/span>pacts on adaptability defined as fulfilling activities necessary <\/span>for functioning in everyday life. The ASD affects the ability to <\/span>perform everyday activities and has a<\/span> negative impact on the <\/span>social life of the individual in general, jeopardizes his or her <\/span>educational abilities, the ability to live an independent life, to <\/span>be employed, to care for one\u2018s own health. These threats can <\/span>be reduced by specific interventions, whether in the area of <\/span>education or employment.
